News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Mum of two Tamsin Poole has taken over the local Adventure Babies franchise for Bath and Chippenham, and will soon be offering classes for babies, toddlers and preschoolers across the region.

“I’m so looking forward to welcoming parents and carers, with their babies and toddlers to a sensory storytelling adventure in Bath and Chippenham soon!,” said Tam. “Our sessions are full of favourite tales and brilliant sensory play invitations, something I’m passionate about both in my home life as a mum of two, and in my previous career as a primary school teacher.”

The classes will begin running for 19 April, taking place in terms times on Wednesday mornings at the All Saints Centre and on Friday mornings in Chippenham at St Paul’s Church.

“They are are aimed at children from 0 – 4 years of age,” explained Tam. “The Tiny Adventurers for for non-mobile babies, Mini Adventurers for toddlers and Active Adventurers, our most active class, is available to all and is great for sibling groups too!”

“Classes are carefully crafted sensory storytelling adventures. At an Adventure Babies session, we bring brilliant books to life, transporting little ones to wonderful worlds using sensory props, lighting, songs and messy play. Classes also provide opportunities for playing and socialising, with time in each session dedicated to allowing children to explore the materials with their caregivers and play.

“I previously attended Adventure Babies with both of my young children and I’m looking forward to sharing the magic of children’s literature and sensory play with other families too!”

Individual sessions (PAYG) can be booked from £9 a session, or a term (five sessions) is £42.50. A discount for families with multiple children is available on request. For more details, go to www.adventurebabies.co.uk/classes/bath/
