News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

We have an awesome competition to give away to one lucky family!

Oh yes we have!

The prize is a family ticket for four people to watch Aladdin at the Theatre Royal Bath on 13 December at 7pm.

What’s more, this will be a relaxed performance where the ambience of the auditorium and theatre rules are relaxed, including heightened lighting in the auditorium during the performance!

These performances are ideal for people with learning difficulties or autism, or anyone who would benefit from a more relaxed environment.

West End and Emmerdale star Tom Lister plays Abanazar in the enchanting family pantomime Aladdin at the Theatre Royal this Christmas, alongside Bath favourite Jon Monie as Wishee Washee and EastEnders’ Nick Wilton as Dame Widow Twankey.

This truly traditional family show appears at the Theatre Royal Bath from Thursday 8th December to Sunday 8th January. The cast also features Alex Aram as Aladdin, Kaysha Nada as Princess Jasmine, Amy Perry as Spirit of the Ring, Maddison Tyson as the Genie, Michael Chance as Emperor and dancers from The Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance.

Guaranteed to entertain both the young and the young at heart, Aladdin features a brand-new joke-filled script, penned by Bath’s own all-round panto legend Jon Monie. One of the most popular pantomimes of all, the thrilling story of a boy, a lamp and a genie has kept audiences spell-bound for generations.

Families visiting the Theatre Royal this Christmas can look forward to a fun-packed performance full of side-splitting comedy, singing, dancing, slapstick, dazzling special effects, beautiful costumes and plenty of audience participation.

To have a chance of winning this superb prize, simply send an email, containing your name, telephone number and address, to email hidden; JavaScript is required, telling us who stars in this production at Aladdin. The email needs to reach us by 9am on 9 December, 2023.
