News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

A new and exciting tutoring company has come to Bath and the surrounding area, offering support for children all the way from KS1 – A-level in English and SEND/EAL support. It also offers maths tutoring from KS1 – KS4, as well as EYFS tutoring and tailored learning sessions.

Teach It Forward is the brainchild of co-directors Poppy Morris and Kelly Moore, both teaching professionals who have decided to take a step back from mainstream school teaching.

“We share the same genuine passion for education, a belief in its power to transform lives for the better and that high-quality teaching is what makes the difference,” said Poppy. “We both care immensely about our students and place establishing positive relationships at the forefront of our teaching.

“Not only this, we believe in a new kind of business. A new way of working that isn’t profit-driven but driven to give back. We are proud to be a female-owned company and are secure in our knowledge and expertise as teachers.”

“That’s why we created Teach It Forward – with the purpose of giving back,” said Kelly (pictured top). “Having taught for many years, we recognised that there are not enough hours in the school day or people on the ground to provide children with the tailored support that they need.

“As we are both passionate, experienced teachers with an in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and understanding of how to support and stretch our pupils, our fundamental aim is for all learners to experience success, however that looks to them.”

The creation of Teach It Forward has allowed Poppy and Kelly to offer a variety of teaching scenarios, including one to one, small groups, holiday tutoring, exam preparation, intensive intervention, SEND support and EAL support, across a number of subjects including maths, English and history.

This includes tutoring at home and in school across the Bath and surrounding area, as well as online, allowing the experience to open to as many pupils as possible.

“A key part of Teach It Forward is that we are a socially aware business. Tutoring is not accessible for everyone – so that’s why we teach it forward!  Using the concept of ‘paying it forward’ we divert a portion of our income towards Give Back Sessions, providing a block of free tutoring sessions to children who need it most but can’t afford it.

“By choosing Teach It Forward™, those who can access tutoring will not only help their child to achieve their personal best, but they will be helping those who can’t – at no extra cost!”
