News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

A production of Donezetti’s opera L’Elisir D’Amore – The Elixir of Love – is coming to Bath to raise funds for the MASIC Foundation which supports women across the UK who have suffered life-changing birth injuries.

London-based Diva Opera, who perform throughout the UK and Europe, will be bringing their performance to the chapel at Monkton Combe School on the evening of Thursday 1 June. The opera will be performed in the round in full costume sung in Italian with translated story-line.

The event is being organised by Professor Keighley, past Governor and former Monktonian, to raise funds for The MASIC Foundation, a charity he founded in 2016. The MASIC Foundation is the only UK charity to support women who have sustained severe life-changing injuries during childbirth.

Families, couples or visitors to Bath will have an opportunity to experience exceptional music in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. There will be complimentary fizz and canapés on arrival, while visitors will have an opportunity to picnic Glyndebourne-style in the stunning grounds at Monkton Combe School.

Tickets are £95 for adults and £50 for under 18yrs. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/monkton-masicpresent-diva-opera-donizettis-lelisir-damoretickets-525449643027
