Prior Park College is delighted with the performance of their A Level students. High achievers this year include twins Rupert and Henry Carr (pictured) who, between them, got seven A* and one A grade. Rupert is going to St Andrew’s to study Computer Science and Henry will read Natural Sciences at Durham.
Finlay Dove, Felix Robertson and Edmund Mortimer secured their Oxbridge places – Edmund was also awarded Distinction in Advanced Extension Award (AEA) Maths. Top international students include Yuchen Liao and Berry Wang. Special mention should also go to Nell Arendt and Hannah Davies who have secured tennis scholarships at two US universities.
The College has done well across subject departments: music, Chinese, French, Latin, Italian and theology received 100% A*-B grades, whilst DT, history, drama, textiles, physics, classics, English and mathematics enjoyed some outstanding results.
Headmaster Mr Murphy-O’Connor commented, “Earlier this year, we were thrilled to be placed in the top 5% of schools in the UK for Pupil Progress and our results are testament to this. We are immensely proud of every student’s achievements: it is, of course, fantastic when pupils gain top marks but we are equally proud of those who, through sheer hard work and determination, exceed their own expectations. We wish them continued success for the future.”
