News, events and schools' information for families across Bath and West Wiltshire

Tickets are now available for the family friendly and frankly awesome looking Shindig festival, which is taking place at the Dillington Estate in Somerset from 25-28 May 2023.

With a line-up that includes an eclectic mix of well-known names in the world of hip hop, funk and dance music, there’s also circus shows, top comedy nights and a chilled wellbeing area. Topping the bill this year is the funktastic, disco delirious Sister Sledge, alongside Warmschuser, Dawn Penn, Norman Jay and Huey Morgan, as well as the comic genius of Jonathan Pie.

If you want to stay in style, there are a selection of superior, deluxe and standard rooms in Dillington House, all with bathrooms and breakfast included. If you prefer a more authentic camping experience but with a touch of luxury then there are airstreams, bell tents and yurts for hire, plus posh toilets and showers. More seasoned festival-goers can rock up with their trusty tents and create their own little sanctuary, just a few minutes’ walk from the action.

Giant art installations are scattered around the site, along with plenty of delicious food and drink options, and shopping for anyone who wants to add an extra bit of glitz to their party gear. Top notch hotel and camping options are on offer too! What’s not to love?
